The Exemplars Collection

These are samples of the collection available in the Assessment community on the Ministry of Education's portal site Te Kete Ipurangi. The collection incorporates a range of video clips filmed in classrooms and school settings around New Zealand. It aims to demonstrate students' work at a range of levels to assist teachers in their assessment processes.

English Exemplars

Exemplar – English Level 1 – Visual Language – Presenting. Moving Images: Drink Bottles
This video clip is a progress indicator for level 1 of English in the New Zealand Curriculum – Visual Language: Moving Images. The students use a series of paired shots to show and tell about the familiar drink bottle, conveying a simple idea by using visual and verbal features.
